CHEMICAL PEEL

A chemical peel is a type of exfoliation treatment. Exfoliation means removing dead skin, debris and pore-clogging to revel newer brighter skin. A chemical exfoliation rather than a physical exfoliation (face scrubs) works on a cellular level using acid to brake down the debris and dead skin. It works penetrating the upper layer of the epidermis, weakening the blinding properties of the lipids that hold dead skin cells together. This allows the dead skin to dissolve and leave you with brighter fresher skin. The chemical peels we offer require minimal down time.

Please be aware of all facial treatments your skin can go through a phase of skin purging. This means some products contain active ingredients that speed up your skin exfoliation rate (cellular turnover). This can feed existing spots below the surface causing a once-off purge. It's your skin kicking out the dirt that was hiding in your skin. In other words, the pimple would have appeared anyway. Purging made them show up faster. Once the purge is over, the breakout will be gone. This only happen to a very small amount of people.
